We have reached capacity for this event and registration has now closed.  Please be aware that we will not offer on-site registration for this event.  IF YOU HAVE NOT ALREADY REGISTERED, PLEASE DO NOT SHOW UP AT THE EVENT HOPING TO REGISTER ON-SITE.  THERE WILL BE NO ON-SITE REGISTRATION AND WE WILL NOT ADMIT UNREGISTERED GUESTS FOR THIS EVENT.  In the event that additional spaces do become available, we will post a notice on this website and open registration once again.

NYU Silver School of Social Work Full-Time Faculty attend for free.  Please contact Stephanie Kaplan (stephanie.kaplan@nyu.edu) to RSVP.  Silver Part-Time and Adjunct Faculty may attend for the NADD/IASSW Member rate.

Due to high volume, we will not offer On-Site registration for this event.

 

REGISTRATION PERIODS

The Early Bird Period: February 1 through April 1. 

Regular Period: April 2 through June 2*. 

Onsite Registration (space availability permitting): June 17**.  

*Online registration will close at the end of business on June 2.

**If you arrive to the event on June 18 or 19 and wish to register, you must pay the full $550 fee. 

 

All above-listed rates are for the full conference, June 17-19; we do not offer single-day registrations for this event.  To attend any one day of the conference you must register for the full event.

If your agency is registering you on your behalf and needs to provide an agency check, please have them contact Stephanie Kaplan for information.

All fees include the following:

  • Admission to the conference for June 17, 18, and 19
  • Two light, continental breakfasts on-site (June 18 and 19)
  • Two luncheons on-site (June 18 and 19)
  • One banquet dinner on-site (June 18)
  • One reception (June 17, to be held at NYU Silver School of Social Work, 1 Washington Square North)
  • Coffee breaks
  • Evening entertainment TBD (June 18)
  • One conference tote including all conference materials
  • Electronic access to materials post-conference
  • Wireless internet access on-site

These fees do not include:

  • Hotel accommodations
  • Travel to or around New York
  • Any additional meals
  • Access to any other NYU buildings beyond conference venue
  • Any additional Pre-Conference Opportunity fees (see below)

Please plan all other components of your visit accordingly.

The sign-up period for our Pre-Conference Opportunities has closed.

 

Scholarships:

The conference organizers are committed to supporting scholarly research, training and education opportunities in global social work.  To help facilitate the participation of individuals from low-resource areas we are in the process of trying to secure funding for a limited number of scholarships for individuals who have had a paper accepted for presentation at the conference and are coming from a developing country*.   Due to the questionable nature of scholarships, and the limited number of if they do become available, participants are strongly encouraged to seek other funding.  If you wish to apply for a possible scholarship, please check the “Scholarship” box on the registration form to be considered.
*Developing Countries are as defined by World Bank.

Refund Policy:

Below are the guidelines for refunds.  

-Refunds requested before end of conference registration period (February 1 - June 2, 2013): 100% of fee paid

-Refunds requested after end of conference registration period (June 3 - June 16, 2013): 50% of fee paid

-Refunds requested after conference commencement (June 17 - forward): No refund

Special Needs:

Special needs including hearing and vision impaired and dietary restrictions should be communicated to the Office of Global and Lifelong Learning (contact Stephanie Kaplan) at time of registration.  Please indicate these items on your registration form.
